On this Thurday, Circo Voador is presenting two of the most popular brazilian Big Bands: Orquestra Voadora, from Rio and Orquestra Brasileira de Música Jamaicana (Orchestra of Jamaican music), from São Paulo. During the meeting of both concerts will be played an eclectic repertoire with authentic musical versions mixed with the classics of Brazilian music and rhythms of Jamaican roots.
The performances of Orquestra Voadora band (flying brass) do not stop to call the public, either outdoors, in street outlets and in open parks specially taking place in the gardens of MAM (Museum of Modern Arts). The famous "infinite repertoire, as eclectic and engaging, is always renewing itself, getting authentic musical recreations infecting people of all ages. Reinterpretations of Os Mutantes and Michael Jackson plus classic old (and also odd) songs of Moacir Santos, Roberto Carlos and Stevie Wonder.
The idea of the group Orchestra of Jamaican music (OBMJ) is to play the classics of Brazilian music and rhythms of Jamaican root ska , rocksteady and early reggae. Their repertoire includes many classics as "Águas de Março" e "Barquinho". The band also goes beyond bringing animated versions of "O Guarani, Carlos Gomes, and" O tremzinho caipira, from master's Villa Lobos, and even other classics of Brazilian music, such as "Loving", the Pixies, and "Ticotico no Fubá "By Zequinha de Abreu.
Animation, irreverence, and the main song for you to dance, fly and finish, is what promises the show tonight that these orchestras as well as possible before the festivities of carnaval
