The "CLUBE DOS DEMOCRÁTICOS" has been presenting this real "carioca" lifestyle for many years, even when Lapa neighborhood was off-fashion, a few years ago.... It has some samba concerts and other typical brazilian music, like Forró, Gafieira and Choro, giving opportunities to amateur groups to play on its stage. sometimes, you´ve got the exchange of experience between this groups and renowned musicians. CLUBE DOS DEMOCRÁTICOS is one of the most important samba clubs in Rio de Janeiro.
As it´s happening every thursday since 2002, the "RODA DE SAMBA ANJOS DA LUA" presents the musicians Alfredo del Penho, Eduardo Gallotti, Mariana Bernardes, Pedro Holanda, Sandrinho and Sérgio Krakowiski playing classics of samba from Noel Rosa, Donga, Zé Ketti and Cartola, ones of the most important samba composers.
The club is very spacious, and you can stay closed to stage... and if you have the "talent" of dancing samba, you should try to get a partner and go ahead... the entrance and the beers are very cheap, so you don´t have any excuse so as not to try!
